As Paul read at the microphone, a professional sound engineer
(John Blanche Audio Productions) and as many as four to six “proofers” followed
Paul's reading in Bibles from different publishing companies. Corrections
were made on the fly. Paul’s wife, Janice — an English teacher — was
the chief "proofer."
A real sense of victory and accomplishment was experienced after many
days of hard work!!
The initial proof-version of the CD’s are then made from
these recordings, and proofers read these, filling out corrections sheets
(yes,
there are corrections that even the on-site proofers often miss, too!).
These
corrections are sent to the sound engineers, and final-proofed again.
At the manufacturing plant where the CD’s
are transferred to the digital audio chips used in the Spoken Word
Pocket Bibles,
another
proofing occurs, And then we proof the digital chip of the whole Bible
before it is actually placed on the market!
This is quite a process, but worth the effort and expense when considering
the fact that it is the Word of God we are making available to people
all over the world!
We plan to place all 23 of our archived language narrations
of Scripture on the Pocket Bibles as God
provides. And as the Lord leads we will target broadcasts to specific
countries of the 10/40 window.
We have already begun targeted broadcasts in Arabic to Iraq, and foresee
that language being one of the first we will place on Pocket Bibles
for
distribution in Iraq and other Arabic speaking countries. Also, a faithful
supporter has financed 500 of these Pocket Bibles in Telegu
to use in India, so the Telegu language is also a top priority.
God willing, we would like, in this decade, to get the Word of God
narrated in the major languages spoken in the countries of the 10/40
window, and
begin broadcast projects in those countries until all have heard!
We are currently praying and working toward
getting the Bible narrated into the Indonesian language. If you would
like to partner with us in narrating the Word of God into a new language click here.
